Apart from the personal privacy issues raised by the Carrier IQ, has anyone considered how this effects national security? How many members of Congress and the Executive Branch use phones on which this software resides. Can Carrier IQ and the carriers themselves absolutely guarantee that it has not been silently exploited by hackers and foreign governments?
