Social Networks an overview of 2006

Mashable has a great breakdown of the best in social networks in different categories. If you are aware that YouTube and MySpace exist but are not familiar with the whole range this is a great starter article to begin to ‘get it.’ It also helps make obvious why open standards for identity and datasharing along with social graph portability are totally needed.
